Tessanne Chin now in the Top 6 in The Voice - Reggae Patios Song proves Americans Love her Underneath it All as Team Adam and #TeamBreadandButter sets up a Shelly Ann Fraser 1-2-3 finish

Yes, I know I’m late in declaring the obvious stale news that Tessanne Chin is in the Top 6 as of night of Tuesday, November 26th 2013, having survived the Top 8 in The Voiceas stated in “Tessanne in Voice Top 6”, published Wednesday, November 27, 2013, The Jamaica Observer, but that’s with good reason.
This was the reaction to her making it to the Top 8 here in Jamaica last week. It’s been off the chain, especially since Usain Bolt turned up when she made it as chronicled in my blog article entitled Tessanne Chin now in the Top 8 of The Voice - Team Adam #BreadandButter on a Roll as the Maroon War Wages and Usain Bolt dashes to support the Hidwaway Royal”.

Even Gordon Stewart aka “Butch” Stewart, Chairman of Sandal Resorts International, couldn’t contain his excitement and made it known in a letter to the editor of his own newspaper as can read in “'Butch' Stewart hails Tessanne Chin, Usain Bolt's appearance on NBC”, published Wednesday, November 27, 2013, The Jamaica Observer.

Now Jamaican suddenly can’t stop talking about Tessanne Chin making it to the Top 6 on the night of Tuesday, November 26th 2013 as stated in the article “And now there are 6: Tessanne still safe”, published Tuesday, November 26, 2013 10:14 PM, The Jamaica Observer and “Tessanne in The Voice top six!”, Published Tuesday November 26, 2013 10:12 pm by Davina Henry, Staff Reporter, The Jamaica Gleaner.

Tessanne in the Top 6 – Maroon War leaves Team Cee-Lo Dead and Team Blake Dying

The list of the Top 6 reads as follows:

Team Adam

  1. Tessanne Chin
  2. James Wolpert
  3. Will Champlin

Team Christina

  1. Jacquie Lee
  2. Matthew Schuler

Team Blake

  1. Cole Vosbury

After her rendition of reggae themed song No Doubt Underneath It All, in Jamaica Patios as stated in “Tessanne Brings Reggae Vibes To Voice”, Published Tuesday November 26, 2013, The Jamaica Gleaner and “Tessanne rocks The Voice with reggae”, published Tuesday, November 26, 2013, The Jamaica Observer many Jamaican “No Doubt” are rethinking American perceptions of Jamaicans.

Especially as the Americans are voting off their OWN fellow Americans in favour of Jamaican Tessanne Chin and anyone she wings with or even associated with Team Adam! Even Rolling Stone too slight with Adam Levine’s experimentation with Jamaican accent as stated in “Int'l magazines sound off on Tessanne's No Doubt performance”, published Tuesday, November 26, 2013 3:42 PM, The Jamaica Observer despite it really being a suggestion by Christina Aguilera.

Tessanne Chin’s Gamble – Reggae song in Patios proves Americans Love her Underneath it All

Many Jamaican though this was a risky move but ironically proved to be an asset. Quite the contrary, as by singing in a Reggae Song in Patios seems to have made her more popular, hence the reason why they voted for her as stated in my blog article entitled Tessanne Chin is now in the Top 12 for the Live Rounds of The Voice - How to vote for #TeamBreadandButta via using a VPN or Proxy Account Last Vegas Style”.

Americans, it seems, liked the Bob Marley-esque voice and her ability to sing in Patios made her appear to be a more versatile artiste and not just a high notes Whitney Houston Clone as stated in “Tessanne deejays and The Voice audience goes wild”, published Monday, November 25, 2013 8:57 PM, The Jamaica Observer.

She even got “props” from Lady Saw, who originally sang the song with the Group No Doubt as stated in “Lady Saw gives Chin thumbs up”, published Wednesday, November 27, 2013, The Jamaica Observer. Clearly she’s heading for the No. 1 spot, which may explain the RJR (Radio Jamaica Rediffusion) Communications Group planned launch of a Kingston Music Week as stated in RJR Group to celebrate Kingston Music Week, Published Thursday November 21, 2013, The Jamaica Gleaner which will last from December 1st to December 7th 2013!

The timing is more than coincidence as Season 4 of “The Voice” is scheduled to end on Tuesday December 10th 2013 as noted in local listing on TVGuide, a week after Kingston Music Week here in Jamaica.

No Doubt, the RJR Communication Group is expecting Tessanne Chin to win and thus became the Voice of Jamaica. Hence they’re getting the Party Celebration in Gear for what may prove to be the greatest Christmas Gift to Jamaica since Bob Marley exposed Americans to Reggae Music!

Tessanne Chin on a high – Interest in her music peaks as a Shelly Ann Fraser 1-2-3 looms

And as I had noted too, her popularity’s carrying her fellow competitors with her as Team Adam is yet to shed any members. It’s also having a positive spinoff effect on her music careers as well.

This is both in terms of her singles on her recent album In Between Words, which sells on Amazon for US$8.99 as stated in “Fans head to Amazon for Tessanne - 'Voice' performances spark interest in singer's debut album”, Published Wednesday November 27, 2013, The Jamaica Gleaner as well as bookings as stated in “Higher demand, price for Tessanne's voice”, Published Tuesday November 26, 2013, The Jamaica Gleaner.

It seems being named the Sexiest Man alive is also very helpful to Adam Levine’s popularity from being chosen as People Magazine’s Sexiest Man alive as stated in “Adam Levine crowned People's Sexiest Man Alive”, published Friday, November 22, 2013, The Jamaica Observer as well as Tessanne Chin being on his Team.

Curiously, Team Blake lost Ray Boudreaux and Team Cee-lo is out of the running altogether as Caroline Pennell is now gone as well. Team Aguilera, however, was dealt a slight as the Maroon Frontman’s Team took a swipe as her, as one of her Team members Matthew Schuler was scalped but was resurrected by Twitter voting! Team Aguilera beware; her days are also numbered!

The Future of Jamaicans in the Voice – Denyque and Ishawna should enter in 2014

The Muses are indeed Kind and the All Seeing Eye likes what they see! Let’s see if they’ll be even kinder and make it another 1-2-3 with Jamaica leading the pack in the Top 4 as we’re gearing up here in Jamaica to celebrate with an Inaugural Reggae Week when she returns!

Hopefully in 2014 after he wins, other Jamaicans may enter the competition. May I suggest Ishawna and Denyque for “The Voice” in 2014? They have the potential to go further as they are two halves of a Sweet and Savoury package. More on that in another article. Right now I’m gonna watch tonight episode of “The Voice” where Bob Marley seems to be making a Redemption Song!

Until then you know how to vote for Tessanne Chin:
