Barack Obama beat by Twitter - Cross-Angry Tigerbone Simone Baby Genius

Men of thought be up and stirring
Night and day:
Sow and seed – withdraw the curtain –
Clear the way.

Charles Mackay, Clear the Way

Another strange Sabbath has ended this Saturday May 7th 2011AD and interestingly, with Al-Qaeda threatening the US of A with retaliatory action as stated in the article “Al-Qaeda threatens the US” published Saturday, May 07, 2011, AFP, The Jamaica Observer.

A death which Al-Qaeda confirmed with their revenge-laden statement posted on militant websites as note in the article “Al-Qaida confirms Osama bin Laden's death”, published Friday, May 06, 2011, The Jamaica Observer.

The statement partially reads, quote: “We stress that the blood of the holy warrior sheik, Osama bin Laden, God bless him, is precious to us and to all Muslims and will no go in vain," the statement said. "We will remain, God willing, a curse chasing the Americans and their agents, following them outside and inside their countries. Soon, God willing, their happiness will turn to sadness. Their blood will be mingled with their tears.”

Truly ominous words!

Expect some more Americans being killed in terrorist’s attacks in the coming months. Maybe even a major attack at the London Olympics 2012! Guess I might have to cancel my tickets to see the London Olympics 2012, as that may be their next target!

These words of anger come in the wake of the death of their leader Osama bin Laden at the hands of the US backed Navy Seals operation in AbbotaBad.

Ironically, AbbotaBad is the same place where Pakistani born Zia Mian, Director of the OUR (Office of Utilities Regulation) lives and still has property as stated in the article “Osama was never hiding in caves - Mian”, published Tuesday May 3, 2011 by Howard Campbell, Gleaner Writer, The Jamaica Gleaner.

I had predicted that the Americans would find Osama bin Laden in “the place that Zian mian lives” to quote myself. This was a prediction made back in April 2009 to a bunch of rather non-literary Shurpower Generator Engineers while traveling in their vehicle to have Telecom Provider CLARO generators set on Auto-start.

Even spookier, I had pointed out that Osama Bin Laden could be found where Mr. Zia Mian lives and not in caves, a point which the namesake in the above article concurs was logical, as it is, quote: “It's easier to hide where there's a large population and people least expect to have drone (US missile) strikes”.

How I had figured it out back then in 2009?

In his video taped messages, I had noticed Osama Bin Laden surroundings and his appearance appeared a bit too clean and well groomed to be someone hiding out in caves. This as in a wilderness environment, one has little time to pay attention to one’s physical grooming, even if one is a follower of Islam.

The visual clue, Mr. Watson!

Zia Mian’s statement confirmed that, yet again, my ability to predict the future is on spot on.

However, this is a technology blog, my focus is decidedly technology-centric. It still amazes me how rapidly Twitter spread the news, beating the President of the United States of America to the punch a good one (1) hour before his announcement in the White House Press Briefing on Sunday April 30th 2011.

Secret Services such as the CIA may not be so secret in an era of Wikileaks and Social Networks! After all, if the news of the death of the Al-Qaeda Leader can reach Twitter a full hour before President Barack Obama announced it at his White House Press Briefing, News may soon become replaced by the Twitter-verse Reporters and its eyes that are everywhere.

Locally here in Jamaica, I have a personal example of how information spread via the Internet and Social Networking Websites!

I knew about Simone “Tiger-Bone” Clarke-Cooper on Smile Jamaica on Television Jamaica up in arms about Bounti Killa "Follow the Arrow" bottle throwing incident at “Follow de Arrow” and “dissing” the DeeJay Bounti Killa via FaceBook and Twitter.

This prompted me to write my blog article entitled “AT&T and ShopAlerts - Confessions of a Geo-Location Shopaholic”, as I had not – and still don’t - watch Smile Jamaica as it is broadcast live.

I watch it uploaded on a YouTube video or on my DVR, should I choose to do so. Sometimes, I just go to the Television Jamaica and watch the past episodes if FB drops me a clue.

Such is my free-to-air TV watching habits: live TV is uninspiring!

Don’t believe me? Just Google using search term “Simone Clarke Cooper” and watch the YouTube video of Simone “Tiger-Bone” Clarke-Cooper up in arms about Bounti Killa being pelted by bottles at "Follow the Arrow"!

Even allegations of Simone “Tiger-Bone” Clarke-Cooper having a baby reached me via the Social Networking websites which is how I ended up writing my blog article entitled “Broadcasting and Advertising - CoreTalk, MRSL and Jus Bet to the Rescue” on July 22nd 2010 AD, who I bet would be a girl and named “Avaya”.

I was not far off in guessing the name as according to the blog “Tallawah Monitor: Arif and simone welcome baby girl + Janice Budd joins the Observer family”, published Friday November 18 2010, Tyrone Views, a full five (5) months later, it is indeed a name starting with “A” and a girl: “Aaryn”.

Statistics geek I am, I can predict couple’s baby naming habits based on their perchant for words that they speak in public. Even the sex of the baby is predictable based on the personality and the physiology of the female who is to give birth, once examined up close and without any medical information.

This too, I had predicted to the Shurpower Engineers back in April 2009

Hence the guess for Simone “Tiger-Bone” Clarke-Cooper girl-child as “Avaya” in my blog article entitled “Broadcasting and Advertising - CoreTalk, MRSL and Jus Bet to the Rescue”, which is not far off from “Aaryn”!

Heck, Simone “Tiger-Bone” Clarke-Cooper even left a comment on my blog article entitled “Broadcasting and Advertising - CoreTalk, MRSL and Jus Bet to the Rescue” which I was able to determine originated from a computer she owned, thanks to a IP address look-up site I use to trace unknown phone numbers and IP addresses, aptly named The Ultimates!

All from information from the Internet and the Media!

Still don’t believe me? Just Google using search term “Simone Clarke Cooper baby”!

The same too, applies to the death of Osama Bin Laden and how information about the event spread via the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Thus the graphic flow chart showing how rapidly the information spread as show in the article “Flow Chart: How news of Osama bin Laden's Death spread on Twitter”, published May 7, 2011 By Andrew Couts, Digital Trends and in the article “Visualizing how Twitter spread news of Bin Laden's Death”, May 7, 2011 1:28 PM PDT by Boonsri Dickinson, Digital Media - CNET News.

Trust and influences were the main accelerants that fueled the news of the death of Osama Bin Laden’s explosive spread that Sunday April 30th 2011. This as Keith Urbahn (@Keithurbahn), the former chief of staff to Donald Rumsfeld, was someone in the know who first broke the story. Hence the high level of trust and his influence as being a credible news source!

His connection to New York Time Reporter Brian Stelter (@brianstelter) is made obvious from the graphic in the articles. With these people with whom trust and influence lies, news can, powered by the Internet and Mobile phone Networks, spread rapidly as it does via Blackberry Messenger.

This flowchart, were it to have more details as to who the Twitter account holders were, would indicate how people are connected in society. This as often observed here locally that some Media Personalities get their news from Twitter as opposed to themselves being the source of news!

Making people such as myself, aware of his death via Twitter a full hour before as I had noted in my blog article entitledAsus Transformer vs AppleiPad  - X-Men First Class for Ludacris' Numba' One Spot” and the President’s announcement seem like old news.

This brings up the question of whether or not Twitter tweets are a form of journalism as stated in the article “Does posting things to Twitter make you a Journalist?”, published May 5, 2011, 4:04pm PT by Mathew Ingram, GigaOM. The jury is still out on that one. As for me, I will stick to my RSS feed of newspapers!

Whatever the next big terrorist act that Al-Qaeda or Al-Qaida - or whatever the proper spelling (American Journalists, what IS the correct spelling of this word?) one thing is for certain: News delivered via Social Networking sites such as Twitter and FaceBook is here to stay.

I’ll hear it first via Twitter and FaceBook, with Mainstream Media struggling to catch up!

Social Networking has the power to organize people to overthrow Governments and start revolutions, as is the case with Egypt and now ongoing in Libya and Bahrain as noted in my blog article entitled “Libyan Freedom, Oil and Alternative Energy - The Pelican Brief

This as once it any news hits the Twitter-verse, rumours takes on an official note that trumps the official Media as stated in the article ‘Journalism get better the more people who do it”, published April 27, 2011, 9:30am PT By Mathew Ingram, GigaOM.

Truly, the official Mainstream Media and Journalism may soon find themselves competing with a formidable enemy, Social Networking in the form of Twitter and FaceBook now with electronics eyes ears and mouths in the form of smartphones!

Even if it’s the President of the United States of America!

Meanwhile…… Al-Qaeda is planning their next big terrorist act: London Olympics 2012!
